Aim Height or High?

When I was in standard 4, I was the 2nd shortest girls in the class. I rather wished i scored 2nd place in the class but not the "height". I still remembered I only have 150cm that year. So, i had a "AIMED HEIGHT" plan.

Both of my parents are around 160cm. My eldest brother is the highest with 169cm and was a basketball school representative. I still had the change to gain " height" according to my parents " gene".

I started my initial plan by joining sport activities. I know sport can help me to gain " height". So, I participated in the Netball team and became the school representative. However the netball team was put off and Of course, I still didn't gain any " cm".

Then, i turned to join basketball team. There was slight improvement for my height after 3 years of playing sports. I gained 1 cm and still far away to 160cm. I stopped playing basketball and changed to focus on my study at standard 6 (UPSR). No aimed " height" plan; now, "aim high" in the exam.

My UPSR exam turned out quite well and i scored 4 "A" out of 6 subjects. These was my first time scoring well in my exam during primary school.When i was in secondary school ,I still never gave up in " aim height". I looked forward in volleyball during my secondary school. That time i already had 152cm. I hoped that the volleyball didn't disappointed me. After 2 years of hard worked in volleyball, my height still remained at 152cm. Maybe it will become my "lucky number".

Now i had 153cm and I had finished my university study. Do i still mind my " height?"
No, I found out all the while i was aimed for nothing. The "aim height" was not that important that " aim to be a better person for the world". Seriously, nobody competed and compared my height. Except that I need people to help me to reach the thing that higher than me. By the way, now i have ladder to assist me.

The important thing is- I must be content with my " height" and the things i have. All these years I had wasted to blame the "height" but I have learn to " count the blessing." I have a lot of blessing that i always forget like my parents still alive and taking good care of me; I have a chance to study till university; I have a healthy physical body and mind. What else that i still need to aim for?

When I start to be contented, I have nothing to blame and complaint. Because i have a lot of blessing. Everyone is being blessed, that is why we have the chance to come to this world. No "aim height" but " aim high" is still important. Aiming high is a factor that push us move forward. Just need to remember that, the process is more important than the result. Start from today, Be contented and count your blessing"

Appreciating my mom

we have been brought in to this world by both our parents. they have been brought into this world by thier parents. without thier parents, our parent would be here for us to be here. therefore, we should appreciate them for bringing us to this world.

however, most of us see this world fill with suffering. we often blame them for bringing us into this world. Most of us also don't see the happiness which we have gone thru and only see what unpleasant thing happens.

this is a story of my parents as i recall their kindness in taking care of me.

i was from a small town called Kuantan. i still remember when i was young my mom will be the earliest one to get up in the morning. she will prepare the fire( those day we use charcoal as the burning material not like these day we got gas). the charcoal stove were outside. she will go out in the pitch dark stove to start the fire so that she could boil water for us to take our bath.

She will then prepare food and boil water to make tea for our breakfast so that we will not be hungry when we go to school. That time my family do not have much money she would give me 30cents for me to buy food during recess. do you know how she get the money?

in my house compound, there were a big mango tree which the local call "Mempelam" its a samller species of mango but the local there loves them very much. our housing area are mostly malays and are very friendly. my mother will collect these mango's and would sell them to the nearest "nasi lemak" stall to help sell for her. The fruit not only sold out the minutes it was put on sale, some have start booking.

she does not stop caring for us till today. constantly cooking, cleaning and worrying about our whereabout. i am lucky to have such a wonderful mom and i hope that she will continue to be my mom in the many lives to come.

some of us may not be as lucky as i am to have a good mother. sometimes we quarell with her. keeping our grudges, shout at her and so on. however, mom like any one of us also face with many difficulty in life. if we could open up our heart and learn to forgive her i'm sure she will open up her heart to love you back. our mom is the greatest angel on earth which you dont need to die to see one.

MOM, I LOVE U!

I born a in a middle class family. We have 3 siblings. I am the only daughter and most of the people will think i am the " pearl"( zhang shang ming zhu) in the family. No, we all wrong, my parent treat 3 of us equally.

My dad was an editor for a Chinese magazine and is the breadwinner of the family. My mom is the housewife. 3 of us spend most of the time with the mom because my dad was busy during weekend to look for new topic for the magazine.

We owned a car and a motorbike. Surely my dad drove the car and mom ride the motor. We took bus to school and some time mom will ride us in special occasion like tuition, other activities in the school.

As a housewife, mom cook everyday, do the house chores and taking good care of us. Sometime we will help our mom in household work and I realized that we did not appreciate our mom and dad. Parent daily work in the house is like a normal phenomenon.

I joined a lot of sports in my school day. When i was a volley ball representative at form 2, i needed to go back to school to practice at Saturday. My mom was the one who sent me. At one of the Saturday, the only vehicle (motor) broken down. At first me and mom planned to take bus but the bus facilities at our housing area not welly developed yet. Finally we had to walk to school. The walking distance from my house to school need 45minutes. Mom seldom exercise because she need to take care the family and the house. So, it was very difficult for her to walk so far. However, she never complaint. I did not realized that mom could not walk for so long and she will have difficult in breathing. We needed to take some break on the journey to my school because mom needed to take rest before continue.

After she dropped me at the school, she walked back alone to the house. These was the first time i looked at her back. ( Even though i stay with mom for so many year, but i seldom see it as what it is. I didn't really appreciate my parent. i felt so sorry. That is why i had such strong feeling when i looking at my mom back.)I felt so guilty, why i can't just cancel the practice? Why i always think about myself and never try to understand and care about my mom? She sacrifice so much for us, she hope the best for us. Why i can't sacrifice even once for my mom?

" mom, i am so sorry that i never appreciate your sacrifice. I will be a better person and a successful person in the future to make you happy, proud and no worry.

  5. The kindness of moving the child to a dry place and lying in the wet herself.
  6. The kindness of suckling the child at her breast and nourishing and bringing up the child.

  8. The kindness of always thinking the child when it has traveled far.

How to spend time wisely?

Everyday we are worry; worry about the family, financial, works, study, exam, interview...long list of worries. Why worry?

We had being gone through so many exam. Kindergarten, primary and secondary school, college, university, daily life and so on. Until now, every time before I sit for my exam, I am still worry. Not only exam, interview for a job, attending meeting all this cause me a lot of worries and thinking.

Finally I found out that we actually spend most of the lifetime in worrying and didn't spend it wisely. I spend most of my time in worrying before i sit for my exam. The most unforgettable was during my university time.

This was the first time i stayed at far away from my house, even just 1 hour journey from my house to uni. First in the lifetime stayed at hostel in uni; first time stayed with 2 room mates; First time had to be independent;A lot of first time staying at outside. All the while i was with my family, protecting and taking good care by them.

I had a lot worries during that time especially semester exam. We had 3 semester in a year, the last semester is the final exam. Evey time before the exam, i started to worry 2-3 months ago. My senior buddy told me, we must prepare our exam 2 months ago if just wanted to pass. However, if we want high score, must revise earlier than that. Sure, i am the type of people will get worry and only study when the exam time near the corner.

Everyday, i will worry that i can't pass the exam.

Worry that i had didn't study enough, didn't study the important points.

Worry can't score high grade.

Worry go for VIVA border. ( mean we are in the border line of the passing line, have to go for viva= like interview by the judges whether we can pass or fail)

Worry what I studied didn't come out in the exam.

So many worries before my exam, all my mind crowded with the worries, anxious and nervous. Most headache part was when the exam near the corner, i always feel very sleepy, tired and sleep most of the time. I also easily get sick during exam time.

One day, i realized that i use most of the time in worrying this and that. At the end, i didn't really complete a task. I kept on worry until i didn't have enough time to study. All the things i worried always turned out to be different that i worried. I always worried that i will fail my exam until can't sleep, eat well. But i always passed my exam, the worst just sit for the exam again. It is not end of the world for me.

Before i start to worry next time, i will ask myself 2 question:
1) What is the percentage if i will fail my exam?
According the history, percentage of failed in the exam was very low.

2) What is the worst thing if i fail my exam?
The worst thing will happen to me is to sit again the exam or repeat one year.
It is still not the end of world.

If i had make the worst assumption, that mean I accept the " consequence of failing the exam". So, why worry? I should spend my time wisely by planning my study schedule, or have a study group. This is better than worrying nothing.

Who should I blame for?

Who should I blame for the decision that had make?

Who should I blame?

Since Form 2 in my secondary school, i have strong interest in counseling and psychology. From the time onward, I dream to become a counselor/ psychologist. So, after Form 5, I decided to go for private college to further study in psychology. However, due to my family financial problem, I chosen to study Form 6 so that I can enter local university to get the counseling course.

We had science and art class in Form 6. Before I entered Form 6, I consulted my counselor teacher in the school that which class should I joined to get entry in counseling course in university. My counselor teacher advised me to choose science class, she said counseling course in local university need science as one of the qualification. I chose biological science class.

After one year in Form 6, I managed to borrow the university guide book from my senior to have a look. I found out the qualification for counseling course was art as basic. The news was a "nightmare " for me. What can I do now? Who should i blame for that time? Truthfully speaking, i really blamed the counselor teacher. I was so angry that time, she ruined my future.

On the other hand, I still did not gave up my dream. So, I had a new ambition to become a psychiatrist. However, I did not have any information about psychiatry. I just knew that i need to complete my 5 years medicine in university then further study master in psychiatry. It was a very tough decision. Because i needed to study very hard to get high score in my final exam STPM that equivalent to "A" level. STPM is a very difficult exam to score too. Fortunately, after 2 years hard work I managed to score good result and entered the local university study Bachelor of medicine .

During the 5 years in university, I found out that this is not the life i wanted. There was still a long way for me to become a psychiatrist. However, i realized that psychiatry do not suit me. I did not think that i had wasted the 5 years. I have met a lot of mentor and friends, they helped me and guided me during the university life. At least i have a good exposure in medicine.

After 5 years of study, we need to complete 2 years of houseman ship (internship) then continue for 3 years government services. During the 3 years time, we can further study in to become a specialist or master. So, i give myself another chance to continue and become a houseman first. Then only decide my future.

The houseman ship was a new exposure to me. I really like to help and serve the patients. But the life as a houseman ship is very tough. We are not given rest day for the 2 years houseman except we take our own leave. We need to complete 6 posting in 2 years, each posting minimum 4 months. We only can take minimum 8 days for each posting. No MC is allow, if we take MC , our 8 days leave will be "burn". Furthermore, we need to on-call every 2-3 days. ( On-call mean works from 7am to the next day 5pm). I did not get enough sleep, eat , drink and also no time to go washroom. Everyday is tired....

I started to think again...... Who should i blame for now? The counselor teacher that give the wrong advice? Or me that choose to study medicine? I was so confused....

I still very eager to study psychology. I have to think if i continue my houseman ship, no one can guarantee that i am going to have quality life for the next few years. It is a very tough decision to make. If i quit my houseman ship, i will lost the chance to become a qualified doctor. I also must face the people that against and disappointed about my decision.

Finally, i decided to quit and plan to further study in psychology. Even though i know i have to start everything again. I have confidence that i will be success in my future.

Who should i blame for, if i have fail in the future?

Who should i blame for that causing me chosen the wrong path?

Who should i blame for?

Should i blame myself for choosing the path or now changing my mind?

NO, there are no one to blame for. I realized that after so many hardship i had faced. I shouldn't blame anyone included myself. For example the counselor teacher, i should seek more information then only make decision. I should not just blindly believe. But there are no " IF I HAVE DONE THIS, THEN....." If i know earlier, it will not happen. So, it mean that we do not know what will happen in the future. That is what i mean no " IF". I shouldn't blame myself too, i didn't know i couldn't adapt to doctor life. The most important thing is " blaming wouldn't change anything, i cannot start everything again. " If i can start all over again, i might complaint and regret too. Because people never satisfied with the decision they make. Human being always regret. So, i learned that do not regret whatever decision i had make. Try my best, enjoy the process and accept the result.

Who should blame for? NO ONE.

How I Save Money when the petrol price increased?

After graduated from university, I realized that we all can earn money but money always do not seem to be enough.

I always go out with my partner to buy necessary things and groceries for our house 3-4 times a month. Every time we go out for shopping, we never plan what we need to buy. We always what we want to buy. We ended up buying a lot unnecessary things to fill up our store room.( before that, it was a bedroom)

We have been like this until one day the petrol price increased. Our financial management immediately turn into a dilemma. His salary was not enough for both of us to survive if we continue to spend without spending wisely. That time I was still a university student.

After the petrol price increased, his needed to spend more than thousand ringgit Malaysia for petrol because his work needed him to travel outstation frequently. He also need to pay the car loan about a thousand every month. This had not included the car maintenance and our daily utilities bills and so on... I do not think we can keep on spending like what we use to. We need to re-think and have a proper financial plan.

We started to plan our monthly expenditure.

To cut down the use of petrol, my partner will ride his motorbike instead of driving to work except on rainy day or when he has to work outstation. He also start to car pooling when he goes outstation with his colleague. Later, his friend has suggested to install a natural gas system (NGV). According to his friend, to install the gas tank will cost approximately 4,000 ringgit. once installed, we can use the natural gas to run the car. Gas will cost approximately RM0.60 per liter while petrol will cost RM2.50 per liters. he normally fill up gas full tanks around RM8-10 while petrol around RM100. therefore, Total petrol is 100 X 15 days, around 1500 ringgit monthly. The gas is 10X30 days, total 300 monthly. We can save up to thousand. However, we need to get few thousand first to insert the gas machine. This also make us headache. In the long run, it really save a lot money.

Judging A Person

" Don't judge a book by it's cover"


When I was in school time, we like to sit together and had a chit-chat. None of us like to talk about ourselves, most of the topics were about other people stories. We can called it in a nice way " pillow- talk". But it seem like was "gossiping" and I felt like I was such a "busy body".

We always focus about their "love story" and "annoying attitudes". I could recalled back once we all talked bad about a girl. They said she acted nice to friend and tried to took advantages from other people. Seriously, i had never be with her, however, I seem to dislike her after the conversation.

S omehow, i had a chance to work with her in a charitable project. I refused to friend with her because of the story i heard. Moreover, I had a bad thought that she just wanted to show people how kind she was by joining the charity work.

After few weeks we cooperated, I found out that she was not as bad as what we had talked before. We had to go to the orphanage house every Thursday to teach them after finished school according to roster . Every time, any one of us absence because of sick or some reasons. She just volunteered to replace us. She was very kind and caring to the children. Once I saw her cried after she scolded a boy because of being rude and naughty. Then she told me she from a single family,she knew how a child will be without parents. So, she hope the children will be educated well and become a better person. Then only I realized that what we had talked was wrong and had prejudgment. We must filtered everything that we heard before then only come to a conclusion about the person.

My partner always said I had prejudgment because I never like any movie based on "Hero" like " spider man". One day, he dragged to me to watch with a movie which I categorized as " BORING". I found out that the story was not bad after all in fact it was interesting.

So, I learned that we should not have prejudgment before we do anythings. Do not penalize a person as if he look unreliable or don't penalize a person if he had bad reputation. The most important is -------- investigate before we make any conclusion.

Stages in life

We all have to go thru this stages in life irrespective who or what we are.
Very often when we are there at that time it seems too personal for us. we view everything so important. but when we look back it does not seen such a big deal after all.


I do remember a time when i was in college, a friend of mine we asking me if i would like to buy his bike. i decided to give it a try..a test drive on his bike. it was a very powerful bike with hand clutches.


I put on the kick start and start riding. i'm not very good at it but i give it a try. while i'm coming down a hill, i release the hand clutches
to slow down the bike but it slow down real hard that i had almost fell from it. i feel really uncomfortable about the bike as i feel that the bike really need a lot of maintenance to do.

On returning back, i return back the bike to my friend and told him that i dont want to buy it. he says ok and ride away.

The next day when i came back to college, i was told that my friend whom i tried on his bike have met with an accident and died. he died because his bike chain snapped while coming down the hill. i was so shock to hear this. i blamed my self. i feel that i was the one who have caused the chain to snapped when i release the hand clutch when i come down the hill. i was the one who was suppose to be killed ..not him.

i was haunted by this dilemma for many year until one day i'd realized that there are the cause for all this. the reason he is killed in the accident is because he did not maintain his bike and not because of me.

Be Motivated: What is the most important in your life?

What is the most important for you now or for everybody now? There are somethings that i am going to share with all of you now. It can use it everyday, every moment to motivate yourself. Anytime, anywhere. You do not need to bring a heavy, thick motivation book with you. You just need to grab this few sentences then you can take along " it" and travel all over the world with the " GIST " i gave.


The following is the question. If you can answer me, meaning you always live in the present moment and enjoying your life. Let us think about the question :

  1. When is the most important time?
  2. Who is the most important people in your life?
  3. What is the most important thing to do now?


So, after thinking about the question. What is your answer?


For the first question. Most of you will answer what happiest thing that had happen last time. What memorable thing that had happen last time. For example, the time with parents, children, wife/ husband.

Actually The most important TIME is --------- NOW.

The most important time is now. Most of the time when we are doing something, our mind will thinking something else. For example, this happen to most of the people, when we having our meal, our mind will thinking about the unfinished job, the future plan, children school fees..... We never really focus the food that we eat. Most of the time, we can't even recall back what we had eat in the morning, or lunch. If we start to be mindful, focus on the present. Believe me, you will realize we miss out a lot things in life. For example, the food that cook by the parents/ wife/ husband/ restaurant will be more tasty, and you know what you are eating.



For the second question, most of you all will answer the most important people in the life is parents/ husband/ wife/ children or other people...

The most important PEOPLE is -------------- the PEOPLE AROUND US NOW .


The most important people is the people around us now. Whoever with us now is the most important person. When we are with our parents/ spouse / children/ friends or other people, we must treat them as the most important people in our life and assume this is the last time we will be with them. Then we will appreciate the time with them, and will not simply complaint and quarrel with the people with us especially our family members. Same with other people. We also must treat them as this is the last time even we with the nasty ones. So, we will not regret in the future that we did not respect and treat them properly.



Now is the last question, what is the most important thing to do now? Most of the people will think of try something that they never try in their life before. Or to ask for forgiveness from the people they hurt before.


The most important THING TO DO Now is ---------------------- To CARE for the people around us NOW.


After share with you all the "GIST" of life, everyone should live on the present and care the person that be with us now. If not, most of us will be regret what we had done before. So, cheer up with the 3 answer. Use it everyday, start to care everyone that be with us now. Be motivated!

My dear friend, how is your day today? Do you use the 15 points of motivation to motivate your life? We hope that you have happy and well life. I had explained 6 points of motivation in detail in my previous article. Now I am continue to share the next 3 points.


7. Transform
PAIN into WISDOM.



" Everything happens for a good reason." We should not always complaint, angry and sad that what had happen to us. However, we should be thankful to our hindrances and challenges in life. Why? The problem that we faced always teach us a valuable lesson. There was a story about a scientist named Thomas Edison, he failed so many times when he was tried to invent the light bulb. Even though he failed so many times, he never gave up. What is the factor that motivate him to continue his invention? He said " At least i know what is the wrong methods to do the light bulb. If i had failed 999 times, that mean i knew 999 wrong methods to make the light. So, i will use other methods to invent the light bulb." We should learn from the scientist Thomas Edison. He never gave up because of the failure, if he gave up that time, we will not have light in this life. May be we still using candle and oil lamp. Scientist Edison was a ordinary people, so do us also can be like him.

We must learn to treat every obstacles in life as a valuable lesson. We learn from the lesson and do not make the same mistake again. This can improve ourselves too. " The challenge and the obstacle is our teacher. " So, we should transform the PAIN into WISDOM!



8. Life in uncertain, DEATH is certain.



" Everything is impermanence."Our life is uncertain and unpredictable. However, DEATH is certain and it will happen to everyone. No one can escape from it. We cannot predict when the DEATH will come to us. It is good that we will reflect on death occasionally because our duration of lifespan is uncertain. We will not know when we will die. May be few years, few days of tomorrow. Sorry to say that I am not purposely to scare all of you. However, it is truth that DEATH is certain. So, why don't we reflect on it. If we always reflect on death, we will find out that a lot of problem and dissatisfaction in our life are relatively unimportant. For example, will you still going to quarrel with your family/ friends if you only left 2 months to live? Most of us would not do that, on the other hand, we will forgive those who hurt us and ask for forgiveness with person that we had hurt before.


So, start from now, we should not easily get irritated with a small problem in life. We shall treat this is the first and the last time we deal with the problem. Learn from the mistake in a positive attitudes.

" Live everyday as though it is your last and only day." Then we will appreciate everything and care the people that around us now. Live on the present moment!



9. None is free from BLAME.



It is true that none of us is free from BLAME. Moreover, we also cannot please everyone in the world. We also cannot expect everyone to like us because it will not happen. So, we should not be sad when we were blame by others. We must be open minded when people blame us. If we really did something wrong causing people to blame us. Then we learn from the mistake and improve ourselves. If people blame without a reasonable reason. We can just ignore it or try to explain it to the person. Sometimes it is good that we know people blame us, we can learn from it and improve ourselves. Then we can become a better person.

Be motivated: 15 points to motivate yourself! ( pt 3)

How are your day? Do you motivate yourself everyday? Be motivated! Come and read this "15 points to motivate yourself!" It will bright your day up. Today i will continue to talk another 3 points to motivate yourself in detail.

4. Reflect on KARMA.

Everything has a cause and effect. Meaning that everything happen in your life that is a reason behind that. What is the reason? We may know or we would not know unless that we have supernatural power to see the cause of the happening. Or to see the past. If we always complaint and sad about the unfairness that we face in our life, it would not change anything if we keep on moaning and grieving. Like what i had said in my early article : Be motivated: 15 points to motivate yourself ( part1)

If you know a problem cannot be solved, why worry? " ~~ Shantideva~~


So, if we across with any problems or dissatisfaction in the life, change it or face it. If we cannot fix it, just reflect it that " this could because of my past bad karma that i had done maybe in past life or present life. It is good that now i am clearing my karmic debts."


Again, everything happen for a good reason. When we cannot do anything to solve the problem and forced to face it and live with it. On the other side, it is helping us to clear our karmic debts. It is so great! So, don't be depress and start to cheer yourself up. Be motivated!!


5. Remember that we are NOT PERFECT.


This is a very important: we are NOT PERFECT. It is so true that nobody is perfect in the world unless you want to lie to yourself. Everyone has weakness and did a lot of mistake in the past and present. It is normal to make mistake and has weakness. However, we just need to learn from the experience and improve on it. When we aware we are not perfect, we will not always criticize and blame ourselves. It is also prove that you have wisdom and start to love yourself.

So, STOP blaming yourself; STOP criticize yourself; STOP holding responsibility in every mistake and problems... STOP it now !!! You are not perfect! I am not perfect too! But do not get the wrong message here that you tend to use it as your excuses to create more problems, and even do bad things and make you feel better when do bad things. So, clear up your mind. Do not get into wrong point and jeopardize yourself and others and try to blame me for this.


Remember that we are not perfect is for you to forgive yourself when you unintentionally done something wrong or mistake. Moreover, this is also allow you to accept yourself that your are not perfect and motivate yourself again. Remember that, learn from the mistake and improve on it. Once again, do not use it as a excuse to do bad things.

6. This will also PASS.

This is the SENTENCE that i always use --- " This will also PASS."


Everything that happen in life will pass....It would not FREEZE and STOP at the point permanently. Whatever happen, it will still " PASS"... Our life still move on... Everything is impermanence. None of the things is long lasting or forever... There is one things in permanent or everlasting--------the IMPERMANENCE. ( ANICCA)

We can use it in our daily life. The problems, obstacles, hindrance that we faced in life it will also pass. It would not stay there longer and eternally. This will also pass. This is a relief for us. So, we shall not lock ourselves in the prison always ( the problem we have face). We shall not always be depress and discourage when we faced obstacles in life. We shall now stand up and say it loudly " this will also pass." This is a good motivation we can do in daily life. Practice and cultivate it in your mind everyday. Now, anything turn out in your life that is not ease you, just use the magic words-" This also will PASS!!!" It is very easy way to motivate yourself, right?


So, my dear friends, do not give up. We must motivate and cheer ourselves up everyday. I know this is not easy but if you start to try use it, you will see the result. Trust me and believe in yourself. The person that can help you is --- yourself. I can do it, you also can do it. Be motivated!!!

Be motivated: 15 points to motivate yourself! ( part 2)

After we have know the 15 points of motivation, now i'm going to explain each point in detail. So that we all can grab the gist of the Motivation. We can use this essence to encourage and cheer ourselves everyday and be positive in thinking.

The following is the explanation of each point:
  1. Reflect on the GREATNESS of the great person.
The great person can be Mother Teresa, Jesus, Buddha or other that you admire and get inspire from. When we reflect the greatness of them like compassion, loving -kindness, patience and etc.. We will find out that we do have the good characters like them. Then we can cultivate ourselves more on the good personalities. It will bring us forward to the wholesomeness. Even though we found out that we only have one good personal, never mind, we can work on it. Slowly, other good nature will also develop. So, we must always motivate our own self by discover more good personal in us.

2. Count the BLESSING in life.

We always complaint things that gone wrong in our life. Do you even count the good or right things in your life? Do not try to lie to other people that you always in misery or always a loser in your life. Think back and think properly... Are you really always failed in your life?
No! If you are currently reading my motivation article now, meaning you are one of the winner in the universal. Why i said that? We must be contented and have gratitude because we have being born to this world. There are a lot of people haven't reach childhood already passed away. Some of them died in mother womb. So, we are winner in the competition. It is not easy to be in this world. When you lost something in your life, do not forget that you still own a lot of things. For example, you failed your exam, this is still not the end of the world, you still can try again and work hard on it. We still have chances, plenty of... Of cause, it would not be the same like last one. At least you have chance to try again. The most important thing is we still have family, friends, relatives.... There are somethings we always miss is that we are healthy, we have hands and legs, we still breathing in the room air. Breathing become too common until we forget that we are breathing by ourselves. There are people out there need the ventilation support for breathing. So, we must be grateful and content with what we have. Be gratitude to the right things in our life. Do not focus and concentrate at the small mistake that went wrong in life. Be grateful. Be contented.

3. It could have been
WORSE.

What people usually do is, we always compare with the person who is better than us. This will not make us feel better, however it make us feel worse, desperate and depress. Are you aware of this, there are people who are worse than us. For example, you get scolded by boss or friends, then you started to complaint and blame other... Assume like this is the end of the world after compare with the friends, sibling... STOP! We have to stop now, again, this is not the end of the world.
It could have been WORSE than this. You just been scolded by boss, there are people out there more worse than us. We have foods, transport, shelter, families, friends..... Be observant, be awake! There are people starve to death everyday while you are having your meals. When we are peacefully sitting in the house watching T.V., be with the family. There are people out there worrying when the bomb come to attack. We are so lucky! You are so lucky! Do not keep on find fault on our life. Be contented.

" Contentment is the greatest wealth!"

Today we have 3 points to remind us to be positive in our life. Use this 3 points to motivate yourself everyday, every time especially when you feel down... By the way, you can use this 3 point cheer you up without choosing the bad day. Use it everyday. Remind and motivate yourself when you first wake up in the morning and before sleep. Stick this 15 points of motivation at the place that you always see. Make use of it. Be motivated. You must believe you have the good qualities within yourself. Find it out , cultivate it, and spread it. Motivate yourself today!!

Be Motivated: Smile with your 15 muscles !!!

Motivate yourself with smiling everyday. We only use 15 muscles to smile but take 72 muscles to frown! Amazing, right ? We can bright our day just a smile. Believe it or not, you will feel more positive for your day.

Cheer up friends!! There are a lot benefits of smiling or laughing. A laugh will have a major changes in our breathing, heart rate and hormonal activities. This is all very good to our health. Moreover, smile and laugh is very " contagious " . I am sure most of you knew the movie " Patch Adam" act by Robin William. Patch Adam is an American physician and professional clown who clowns in hospitals , orphanages and prisons. He done a test in the movie by testing how many people will reply a smile back when he smile with the strangers. So, it can be work. We can cheer ourselves up by just laughing and smile. It doesn't need a joke or a comedy movie. We can just laugh and smile automatically. After that, smile and laugh become our habits. A smile or laugh can simply just light up your day. When we smile, everything will look different. Try it yourself and brighten up your day.


Dr. Robert Holden, founder of the Laughter Clinic and Happiness Project in UK explain in his articles " Laughter is the best medicine" that --------" Laughter has 2 steps actions on the physical body: (1) it stimulates; (2) it relaxes. During laughter, the body is stimulated and exercised; after laughter, the body relaxes and calm itself.


The following are some of the benefits of laughing:

  1. Laughing is a good exercises. Not only using 15 facial muscles when we laugh, it also involve our lungs, abdomen, leg and back muscle. It will cause major changes in our respiration, heart rate and also hormones. Laughing involve the abdominal muscle help us in digestion improve absorption. Moreover, laughing can also burn calories and reduces weight.
  2. Laughing is a prevention for diseases. It can reduces the risk of getting heart attack and stroke, and reduces blood sugar level in diabetics. It can also relieves allergic reaction by release natural antihistamine.
  3. Laughing is a " natural painkiller". Laughing can reduces pain by releasing hormone endorphin from the brain. It can also improves attentiveness, pulse and heart rate.
  4. Laughing is a " stress management" . It relieve stress, depression , anxiety by reduces the releasing the stress hormones. We can laugh and say " This will also pass" when we face problem and get very tension.
  5. Laughing is a " natural antibiotic". It will active our T-cell ( immune cells) to strengthens the body's immune system. It make us more healthy and it is free.
  6. Laughing is a " good communication tool" . When we smile, it will help us in socialization. People will like to be friends with us because we are friendly and always smile.

Smile and laugh can motivate and cheer you up everyday. It is a cheep method to brighten yourself everyday. WHY NOT GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE TO BE HAPPY EVERYDAY. There are a lot of benefits of laughing/ smiling. Faking a smile/ laugh will also give you same effect. Cheer up my friends. Get motivated today by a laugh.

Be Motivated: 15 points to motivate your self (Pt1)

Every people need motivation to carry their daily life. The encouragement can be come from family, friends, relatives... Of course, we also can inspire and cheer up by our own self. It would not be that difficulty. We just need to try it everyday, every time, every second to motivate ourselves. So, I am going to share with you the " the 15 points to motivate yourself!!"

What is the 15 points ??


The 15 points of motivation is known as " wise reflection" or "skillful attention". In Buddhism, it is known as " YONISO MANASIKARA" . The 15 points of motivation is not only for Buddhist; however, everyone also can share and use it to motivate yourself. It is universal usage. The meaning of
" wise reflection" or "skillful attention" (YONISO MANASIKARA) is being positive in thinking. If we continue practice 15 points of motivation, our mind or mental will always be in calm, peaceful and happy state. It would not easy to sink into negative state like depression.

The following will be the
15 points of motivation :
  1. Reflect on the GREATNESS of the great person
  2. Count the BLESSING in life.
  3. It could have been WORSE.
  4. Reflect on KARMA.
  5. Remember that we are NOT PERFECT.
  6. This will also PASS.
  7. Transform PAIN into WISDOM.
  8. Life in uncertain, DEATH is certain.
  9. None is free from BLAME.
  10. We are big FAMILY.
  11. Touch GOOD SEEDS in other.
  12. Remember the GOODNESS within us.
  13. Have an OPEN HEART.
  14. Embrace UNCERTAINTY.
  15. Have a SILENT MIND.
The above are the reflection we can do everyday to keep ourselves happy. I will explain the each point of motivation in detail on my following articles.

Be Motivated

How to motivate myself when i was sad? How to encourage myself when i was lonely? How to cheer up myself when i had problems? How?

If we are now asking our families, friends and relatives" please rise your hand up if you never feel sad; lonely; lost and etc for your whole life." I am guarantee none of them will rise up their hand. If there is someone, believe me, the person is a liar. A big liar. The fact is, we no need to hide ourselves if we need someone to motivate us; encourage us; to be with us when we are in need. This is normal and is a very good step if you go and find a solution.

However, most of us when we are in difficulties, we cannot find anyone to talk. This is because the problems that we face is very sensitive issues- " private and confidential". We do no know who is the suitable person to be the listener and can cheer us up. Or, if we really find someone, ended up our secret become the " highlight " among the friends or relatives. Anyway this is the worse condition it might be happen when we find the wrong candidate to "motivate" us. Finally, we ended up "demotivate" and getting more depress.

Believe me, you are not alone in this world when you are sad and lonely. If you go out to crowed area, close your eyes and just simply point to anyone of them. Sure they had problems and difficulties before. But how they settle it? How they be motivated? How? Or, the other way, they just forget about it and continue their life. Most of the people will do like that, but if we have a chance to learn self-motivate. Not only can motivate ourselves, we also can help others. This is very great! The most happiest things is you can help someone everyday. I can do it. For sure, you also can do it.

I sure you heard this before " when you had given a lemon, you just change it to become lemonade". These was the sentence that inspiring me when i was depress. when i faced problems last time, i did not have any idea to solve it. I just sad, cried and blame others. Then i found out there are two way to solve and handle the problems: " we can either do somethings to change it, or face it."

If we can do something, then why we worry and get upset about it- just change it. Just like the lemon, people give you lemon, you can change it to lemonade and drink it. So, the problems solve. By the way, if there is nothing we can do, again, why worry and get upset over it- just face it. Things will not get better with anger and worry. Always remember that, there are always a reason there when something happen, be in a positive way. It will turn out to be good. I always face my difficulties with 2 ways: change it, or face it. The things that motivate me is, i always believe everything happen for a good reason. Depend on whether do you know what is the good reason behind the incidents.

We should understand that there is always a way out of the problems and suffering we face in the life. None of us is desperately/ hopelessly condemned to eternal suffering, unless we ourselves allow it to be so. The most important thing is find out the causes or the roots that cause us suffering. So, do not be demotivate. We should always motivate ourselves by thinking the good side when things happen. The good things will follow you if you thinks positively.

Finally, we must always encourage and motivate ourselves by being a positive person. Next time will share with you the 15 points to motivate yourself.
